What better way to get involved with motorsport? At Whickham and District motor club we have a strong base of marshalls who are regularly out assisting events all over the country. We are always looking for new marshals to help out, if you fancy a go just get in touch.

If you have never marshalled before and are interested in getting started or have any questions please email the clubs chief marshal at chiefmarshal@wdmc.org.uk We can arrange for you to be joined by someone more experienced if need be on your first event.

How to access MSA Rally Marshal Training

Go to the MSA main site – www.msauk.org

Across the banner put your mouse pointer on MARSHALS
Then click on ‘Training’ (left side of page)

Track down that page then click on click here to undertake the on-line training

On the next page either “Log In” if you’re already a ‘customer’ or “Register with MSA” if you’re ‘new’

Having gone through the registration or log in process then go back to main page.

Then click on MARSHALS tab then go to training

Then go to bottom of page and click on “click here for on-line training.”

Your name page should then appear and again “click here for on line training.”

On next page click ‘submit’

Then click Log in to LMS

Then click the words ‘The Courses’

On the next page click “All Learning” (or ‘Launch Course’ if you’re already registered) then click “Active Learning”

Then click “Rally and Cross Country Marshal Accreditation”

That will take you through to the course and assessment page – follow the instructions and complete each of the three modules by reading the text first (each module is in two parts – read them both!) and then completing the assessment.

When you have successfully completed the assessments you should receive an email from the MSA about completing the registration process.

Have you Marshalled recently? Get in the draw!

If you have marshalled on any event contact Guy Wickham and make sure you get your name in the Marshals Draw. There are cash prizes to be won and it costs nothing to enter!

Marshals are advised that to marshal unaccompanied on special stage events in 2017 they are required to have undertaken the MSA online training modules.

Go to www.msauk.org and follow the links to Rally Marshals Online Training.

You will not be prevented from marshalling if you have not done the online training but will be restricted to locations where you can be supervised by an accredited marshal.
